One Week.

That’s what I have left here at home. It’s crazy to me that all of the days spent planning, shopping, fundraising, stressing, making memories and working; all boil down to this week.

Have I done all the things I was going to do? No.

Have I rested as much as I should’ve (and I don’t mean sleeping)? No.

But I’ve felt the favor and love of the Father in all the craziness of stressing and checklists.

I’m spending this last week taking care of the last minute stuff and taking time for fun moments with friends and trying to remain present. It’s harder than it sounds!

Financial update:

I’m $1,986 from being FULLY FUNDED for the trip itself!!! If 20 people gave just under $100; we would be done!!! (Monthly Support also works!)

I could use a little extra personal money, (Whether it’s used to buy my plane ticket home from whichever major US city we fly into and end in, get a culturally appropriate outfit, buy a keychain or help our host out with a need; it’s still just as important as the trip money). If you feel led to give to that; let me know!

Things I’m still lacking: here’s my amazon list! https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/B6IWHSJFQO8S?ref_=wl_share

Other needs:

Prayers against sickness and homesickness. Traveling for the length of time that we will be can take a toll on my squad and myself both physically and emotionally.

Prayers against distractions. We’re going to be immersed in several different cultures and things we’ve never seen before but we also will be completely separate from our family/friends. We need to stay present and ready to hear what He’s telling us to do.

Prayers for my fitness hike! I’ve been prepping but the anxiety about it is still there a little.

Encouragement of any kind!!

Ready to go but not quite ready to leave.

  1. I loved ‘ready to go but not reaady to leave’ How profound! That so describes any good change or challenge we face! I’m so looking forward to seeing what God has in store for all of you!
